I babysit a 69-year-old with Alzheimer's tonight who tested my patience to the extreme. The highlight was when she spit a mixture of applesauce and pills directly into my face. : /
Good part is, I got a lot of great quotes from her!
Henrietta: "Give me back my liver!"
Henrietta: "Look at my pretty bottom..."
Henrietta: "Can you reach my pumpkin? Or am I going to have to do it for you?"

ReplyDeleteJust to let you know, this is a breach of confidentiality with you and your patient. Even if you have changed the name, you should not be posting these details as you have a responsibility to maintain the patient's privacy. If someone lives where you live, reads this, and recognizes the person, you could be liable for breaking confidentiality. As a recent nurse graduate with a passion for advocating for patient confidentiality I though you should know.
